If you are employed in a state that uses a registry to track professional development hours, you will be able to provide your registry ID (Stars, MOPID, Registry or other ECE ID#) after you have completed the quiz for the course. If you pass the quiz we will report your course completion to the state registry using the registry ID that you provide.

Begin your journey in early childhood education by building the knowledge and skills needed for a successful and rewarding career. Designed for new early childhood professionals, this self-paced course explores creating effective learning environments, establishing routines, developing meaningful curriculum, building positive relationships with families and co-workers, and preventing burnout. Through practical strategies and real-world guidance, participants will gain the confidence to create nurturing classrooms and thrive in their new role. Course Length – 2.0 hours.

The course will help answer the following questions:

• How can I make the environment work best for the children?

• What is the best way to make a schedule and set up a routine?

• How can I build a community with families and co-workers?

• What is the best way to build curriculum?

• How do I avoid burnout?

Participants who successfully complete this course will be able to:

• Develop a classroom plan that includes an engaging environment, a developmentally appropriate daily schedule, and a lesson based on children’s interests.

• Select at least three positive-guidance and communication strategies that promote appropriate behavior and positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, with 80% accuracy on the course assessment.

• Create a personal self-care plan that includes at least three strategies for preventing burnout and supporting long-term professional success.
