Description
If you are employed in a state that uses a registry to track professional development hours, you will be able to provide your registry ID (Stars, MOPID, Registry or other ECE ID#) after you have completed the quiz for the course. If you pass the quiz we will report your course completion to the state registry using the registry ID that you provide.
This course is designed for early childhood educators to transform their outdoor area into an outdoor classroom. Moving beyond traditional indoor settings, participants will explore how natural spaces can become extensions of their classroom. Course length – 3.5 hours.

Participants who successfully complete this course will:
Be able to define and explain the core principles and benefits of an outdoor classroom.
Know how to integrate outdoor experiences seamlessly into existing early childhood curriculum frameworks.
Have ideas for practical techniques for fostering children’s curiosity, observation skills, and respect for nature through hands-on outdoor exploration.
Know how to design and propose a personalized plan for establishing an outdoor classroom space.
