If you are employed in a state that uses a registry to track professional development hours, you will be able to provide your registry ID (Stars, MOPID, Registry or other ECE ID#) after you have completed the quiz for the course. If you pass the quiz we will report your course completion to the state registry using the registry ID that you provide.

Designed for early childhood educators who work with toddlers, this self-paced online course examines developmental milestones, self-help skills, potty training, gross motor development, manners, and respectful behavior. Through interactive learning activities and self-assessment, participants will identify strategies they can apply in their classrooms to create supportive, developmentally appropriate experiences for toddlers. Course length – 3.0 hours.

Participants who successfully complete this course will:

• Identify at least three developmental abilities and learning characteristics of toddlers with 80% accuracy on the course assessment.

• Select at least three effective potty-training strategies that support toddlers and their families during scenario-based activities.

• Develop a developmentally appropriate activity plan that includes at least three opportunities for active play and gross motor development.
