If you are employed in a state that uses a registry to track professional development hours, you will be able to provide your registry ID (Stars, MOPID, Registry or other ECE ID#) after you have completed the quiz for the course. Explore the foundations of neurodiversity and discover how to create supportive, inclusive learning environments for all children. Designed for early childhood professionals, this online, self-paced course introduces common neurodevelopmental differences, including dysgraphia, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and stimming. Through engaging lessons and practical strategies, participants will develop a greater understanding of children’s unique strengths and learning needs while building confidence in supporting diverse learners with empathy and respect.  Course length – 2.0 hours.

• What is Dysgraphia?

• What is Dyslexia?

• What is Dyspraxia?

• What is Stimming?

Participants who successfully complete this course will be able to:

• Define neurodiversity and accurately describe the characteristics of dysgraphia, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and stimming with 80% accuracy on the course assessment.

• Identify at least three classroom strategies that support the learning, participation, and inclusion of children with diverse neurological profiles.

• Explain how embracing neurodiversity promotes positive relationships, inclusive practices, and successful learning experiences in early childhood settings by successfully completing a scenario-based assessment with 80% accuracy.
