Designed for early childhood professionals working with infants through school-age children, this online, self-paced course explores research-based strategies for planning developmentally appropriate science, art, math, literacy, and sensory activities. Through practical examples and creative ideas, participants will learn how to transform everyday and recycled materials into intentional learning experiences that support children’s development across multiple domains while maximizing limited classroom resources. Identify at least 10 low- or no-cost materials that can be safely used to create developmentally appropriate learning experiences, with 90% accuracy on the course assessment.

Describe at least five strategies for incorporating recycled and everyday materials into science, art, math, literacy, and sensory activities.

Match low-cost learning activities to the developmental needs of infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children with 80% accuracy.
