If you are employed in a state that uses a registry to track professional development hours, you will be able to provide your registry ID (Stars, MOPID, Registry or other ECE ID#) after you have completed the quiz for the course. If you pass the quiz we will report your course completion to the state registry using the registry ID that you provide.

Through engaging readings, videos, reflection activities, and practical examples, participants will explore the benefits of infant art, create safe and enriching environments, understand the importance of process over product, and learn effective strategies for documenting children’s progress while fostering creativity and development. Course length – 2.0 hours.

• How can I document and assess progress with their art?

Participants who successfully complete this course will be able to:

• Identify and describe at least five developmental benefits of providing art experiences for infants by achieving 80% or higher on the course assessment.

• Develop an infant art activity plan that includes at least four developmentally appropriate materials, environmental considerations, and safety practices.

• Distinguish between process-focused and product-focused art by identifying at least three characteristics of each and explaining why process art supports infant development.
