Curriculum and Lesson Planning – Online

If you are employed in a state that uses a registry to track professional development hours, you will be able to provide your registry ID (Stars, MOPID, Registry or other ECE ID#) after you have completed the quiz for the course. If you pass the quiz we will report your course completion to the state registry using the registry ID that you provide.

Course length  – 3.5 hours.

Participants who successfully complete this course will be able to:

• Define developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) and identify at least three ways it guides classroom decisions with 80% accuracy on the course assessment.

• Identify at least three key components of a developmentally appropriate early childhood curriculum.

• Select learning activities that align with specific developmental goals and learning objectives.

• Choose at least three developmentally appropriate themes or activities that meet the needs of a specific age group.

• Develop a lesson plan that includes measurable objectives, appropriate activities, and materials aligned with children’s developmental abilities and learning goals.
